Raising Local Disciple Makers

A Discipled Pastor for Every Town Church

To establish and sustain churches, local indigenous pastors must be raised, discipled, and equipped holistically to lead effectively.

Identifying Emerging Leaders:
Through prayer and scouting efforts, individuals showing promise and a growing commitment to Christ are identified. These individuals are nurtured through consistent one-on-one studies, everyday conversations, meaningful interactions and connections, the Pastors Training and Equipping (PTE) program, exposure trips, and other discipleship initiatives deemed necessary by the missionary for their growth.

Pathway to Leadership: Pastors Training and Equipping (PTE) Program
The PTE program is an informal, non-academic initiative structured into three one-month intensive terms per year over a period of two years. It was conceived from a heartfelt desire to establish evangelical churches in the Karamoja region, led by competent, well-equipped, and passionate pastors and leaders who can effectively shepherd God’s flock.

Objectives of PTE:

  • Equip and disciple rural pastors, elders, church planters, and leaders with a solid biblical, holistic foundation for life and ministry.
  • Foster practical skills and knowledge essential for effective ministry and leadership within their communities.
  • Cultivate a passion for evangelism and church planting in the Karamoja region.

Program Logistics:

  • Facilitators, often mission-minded partners, lead sessions on various biblical topics, ensuring diverse perspectives and rich learning experiences.
  • Participants are encouraged to contribute to program costs.

Training Location:
All intensive training sessions occur at the FMT camp in Lotim, with follow-up conducted in participants’ respective fields or homes by the residing missionaries.

Let's Go North

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20
