Quarantine Reflections

In this time the devil will try to whisper in your ear, “you see; I told you, He (God) doesn’t care about you. Where is he? (His old age trick to challenge His (God’s) goodness; does Genesis 3 ring any bells)

But the question for me for him is, “but Satan this is your very scheme devised to tear down our confidence in our Father’s loving character. We know this world is under your control (albeit temporary) 1 john 5:19 and that you’re the god of this age (again temporarily) 2 Corinthians 4:4.

And that your advancing with whatever weapon you can put your hands on to reproach the name of our father. But Satan you forget it’s for this purpose that He (the son of God) appeared, that he may destroy your works. 1 John 3:8b. Your days are numbered, for your fighting a losing battle for we match on in his (Jesus’s) victory procession. 2 Corinthians 2:14.”

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away (with hunger, loss of jobs, name it, or even death), yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
